Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Cork Slate Quarries.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he can state the number of slate quarries at present being worked in the West Cork constituency, the location of each quarry, the name of the owner or company by whom it is worked, the number of quarries to which State grants have been allocated in each year since 1925, giving the name of the quarry in each case, with the amount allocated, and also the number and names of quarries which received grants and which are not in production at present.

I will circulate the information asked for by the Deputy.

The Grants were made from Relief of Unemployment moneys. Aghaliskey, Curra and Snave Slate Quarries, which received Grants, are not at present in production.
