Vol. 60 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - G. P. O. and Aldborough House.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he will announce to the Dáil on what terms the Government are now prepared to offer Aldborough House site to the Dublin Corporation for the purpose of erecting flats for the working classes living in condemned houses in the area.

The alternative proposals designed to reduce the cost of the scheme to the lowest possible figure are not yet complete owing to difficulties experienced in providing for the Departmental services affected by the change.

I am not, therefore, in a position to furnish the information the Deputy desires, but it will be furnished to him as soon as possible.

Could the Minister give any figure that he contemplates asking?

Mr. Boland

No, I could not do that.

I wonder will he consult Deputy Norton as to profiteering in ground values?

And profiteering by builders.
