Vol. 61 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Pensions to Resigned R.I.C.

asked the Minister for Finance whether he is prepared to introduce proposals for legislation for the purpose of ensuring that, in the matter of pensions, resigned and dismissed members of the Royal Irish Constabulary entitled to pensions under Section 5 of the Superannuation and Pensions Act, 1923, will receive treatment not less favourable than was accorded by the British Government to the members of the R.I.C. who remained in the force until it was disbanded.

It is not proposed to introduce legislation amending Section 5 of the Superannuation and Pensions Act, 1923.
