Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Cattle for Waterford Meat Factory

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will state (1) the number of cattle purchased by the Department for the tinned meat factory at Waterford; (2) the amount paid for them; (3) the commission paid to buyers; (4) the cost of transit, and any other expenses paid on them; and (5) the total cost in full.

The particulars required by the Deputy are as follows:—(1) 2,347; (2) £9,228 2s. 0d.; (3) nil; (4) £845 12s. 0d. transit charges, £54 4s. 4d. miscellaneous expenses, such as lairage, droving, etc.; (5) £10,127 18s. 4d.
