Vol. 62 No. 16

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Shop Hours Legislation.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce whether he is now in a position to state when the Bill to regulate the hours of work and conditions of employment in shops, which he said on 30th October, 1935, was in course of preparation will be submitted for consideration by the Dáil.

I am not yet in a position to state when the Bill to regulate the hours of work and conditions of employment in shops will be introduced.

Will the Minister indicate before the adjournment for the Summer when the Bill will be introduced, or will he introduce the Bill before the adjournment?

I am not yet in a position to say whether that will be possible. I hope, before the adjournment, to be in a position to indicate when it is expected the Bill will become law.
