Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Naturalisation Certificates to Alien Workers.

asked the Minister for Justice whether he will state the number of aliens to whom certificates of naturalisation were issued during the past six months, who formerly held positions in the Saorstát by virtue of permits issued to them for that purpose and the number who held such permits for not less than five years.

The number of such aliens is four. All these persons held employment permits for not less than five years.

asked the Minister for Justice whether he will state (a) the number of aliens to whom certificates of naturalisation have been granted; (b) the several periods for which aliens to whom certificates of naturalisation were granted have been resident in this country, and (c) the number of aliens whose applications for certificates of naturalisation were refused.
