Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Acquisition of Land in Clare.

Mr. Hogan

(Clare) asked the Minister for Lands if he will state the total area of land acquired by the Irish Land Commission in the County of Clare within the past year, the total area divided, and the total number of people to whom land has been allotted in County Clare during the past year.

The total area of untenanted land in County Clare acquired for division by the Land Commission during the year ended 31st March, 1936, was 3,900 acres. During that year a total area of 4,415 acres was divided among 647 allottees in County Clare, including lands acquired prior to the 31st March, 1935.
