Vol. 63 No. 11

Written Answers. - Unemployment Assistance Claims (Donegal).

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will state why the claim of John Moore, Castledoherty, Ardara, County Donegal, for unemployment assistance has been disallowed.

I would refer the Deputy to the reply given to a question regarding this applicant on the 16th June, 1936. John Moore's application for unemployment assistance was disallowed as from the 5th February last on the ground that he was not unemployed within the meaning of Section 4 (1) of the Unemployment Assistance Act, 1933. As from the 3rd June last he could not have received assistance in any event by reason of the operation of the Second Employment Period Order of 1936.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will state why the application of Mr. Michael Doarty, Drimalough, Glenties, County Donegal, for unemployment assistance has been rejected.

There is no trace of an application for unemployment assistance by Michael Doarty, nor can it be found that any person of that name is the holder of a qualification certificate, without which he could not apply for unemployment assistance.
