asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will state the number of persons paid unemployment assistance benefit during the first week in each of the months July to October inclusive, in each of the years 1934, 1935 and 1936.

A table showing the number of persons paid unemployment assistance derived from the first available statistical returns furnished in each of the months July, August, September and October in the years stated in the question will be circulated with the Official Report.
