Written Answers. - Unemployment Insurance and Assistance.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will state the total number of (1) men, (2) women, (3) boys and (4) girls who were in receipt of (1) unemployment insurance payments, and (2) unemployment assistance payments during the week ended the 4th January, 1937, in each of the employment areas: (1) Dublin and Dun Laoghaire, (2) North Limerick, (3) South Limerick, (4) North Munster, (5) South Munster, (6) North Connacht, (7) South Connacht, (8) Ulster, and the gross total of such persons in receipt of these payments.

The particulars which the Deputy requires are not available for the week ended 4th January, 1937. A statement giving the particulars for the fortnight ended 4th January, 1937, will be circulated with the Official Report.
