Written Answers. - Unemployment Assistance.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will state the number of (a) persons with means, and (b) persons without means, discriminating between (1) men and (2) women, having applications current to unemployment assistance during the week preceding Monday, 25th January, 1937, in each of the employment areas: (1) Dublin and Dun Laoghaire, (2) North Leinster, (3) South Leinster, (4) North Munster, (5) South Munster, (6) North Connacht, (7) South Connacht, (8) Ulster, and the number of others, discriminating between (1) men and (2) women (3) boys, and (4) girls on the live register (including persons with unemployment insurance claims current), in each of these employment areas during the week preceding Monday, 25th January, 1937; and the totals of such persons.

The particulars which the Deputy requires will be circulated with the Official Report.
