Vol. 65 No. 12

Ceisteanna—Questions. Written Answers. - Unemployment Insurance Acts.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will state, in respect of each of the years 1929 to 1936, inclusive, the average number of contributions paid annually under the Unemployment Insurance Acts by (a) men, (b) women, (c) boys and (d) girls.

No record is available of the actual number of contributions paid under the Unemployment Insurance Acts. A statement will, however, be circulated with the Official Report giving estimates, which are based on the best information at present available, of the numbers of contributions under the several headings set out in the question.

Following is the statement:—

Estimates of the number of contributions paid annually under the Unemployment Insurance Acts by men, women, boys and girls in each of the years 1929 to 1936, inclusive. (Contributions in respect of arrears are not included).
