Vol. 66 No. 15

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Sanction of Offaly Waterworks Scheme.

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health if he will state the cause of the delay in giving his sanction for the proposed waterworks for Banagher, Offaly; whether he will now authorise the Offaly Board of Health to invite tenders for carrying out this long-delayed scheme, and if he can state what is the amount of the grant sanctioned by the Minister for Finance in this case.

As regards the first part of the question, I would refer the Deputy to the reply given to him on 24th February last. As regards the latter part of the question, approval has been given to the invitation of tenders for the work, subject to certain minor amendments of the scheme. The grant allocated is £3,000.
