Vol. 67 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Acquisition of Galway Estate.

Mr. Brodrick

asked the Minister for Lands if the Land Commission propose to acquire the Stackpoole estate, Mount Hazel, Woodlawn, County Galway, for distribution among uneconomic tenants, and, if so, when a division scheme will be put into operation.

Mr. Boland

The Land Commission are awaiting the result of an inspection which they have already instituted to ascertain the suitability for their purposes of the Lands of Mount Hazel and others on the Stackpoole Estate, and the question of acquisition will be duly considered, but it is not possible at present to anticipate a decision.
