Introduction of Bills. - Shops (Hours of Trading) Bill, 1937—First Stage.

Leave granted to introduce a Bill entitled an Act to make further and better provision for regulating the hours during which shops may remain

When will the Bill be circulated?

There are drafting difficulties in regard to this Bill and I cannot say definitely when it will be circulated. As regards the previous Bill, the introduction of which has just been agreed to, it can be circulated at any time.

It has been circulated.

But has to be reintroduced in this new Dáil.

Deputies will remember that the dissolution of the previous Dáil cancelled any Bills which were before that Dáil and which had not been passed. They are, therefore, being reintroduced.
