Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - The Military Service Pensions.

asked the Minister for Defence if he will state the names of the persons in County Carlow awarded pensions under the Military Service Pensions Act, 1934, and the amount awarded in each case.

The list is being prepared and will be forwarded to the Deputy in the course of a few days.

Does that mean that it will be published in the Official Report?

Not necessarily.

Will the Minister agree to publish the list in the Official Report?

If any Deputy wants a list I shall send it to him.

asked the Minister for Defence whether he received an application for a pension under the Military Service Pensions Act, 1934, from Mr. W. Heavey, Cloonkeen, Attymon, Athenry, County Galway; whether a decision in respect of the application has been reached, and, if not, whether, in view of the condition of this man's health and the other surrounding circumstances, he will take steps to hasten a decision in respect of the application.

An application for a service certificate under the Military Service Pensions Act, 1934, has been received from Mr. William Heavey, Cloonkeen, Attymon, Athenry, County Galway, and is under investigation by the referee and advisory committee appointed under the Act. No report has yet been issued in the case.
