Vol. 69 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Congestion in County Kildare.

asked the Minister for Lands whether, in view of the acute congestion in the area and the keen demand for the acquisition and division of land, the Land Commission propose to take steps to acquire the holding registered in the name of Miss Nancy Healy, at Downings, Prosperous, County Kildare.

Mr. Boland

The Land Commission have directed that enquiries be made regarding the lands of Goatstown, Downings North, Killybegs, Donore and Landenstown, of which Miss Nancy Healy is the registered owner. Pending the result of these enquiries, a definite decision cannot be made on the question of acquisition.

Can the Minister give an approximate idea as to when a decision will be taken on this matter?

Mr. Boland

I cannot.
