Vol. 69 No. 8

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Proposed Hospital at Caherciveen.

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health what is the present position with regard to the erection of the hospital at Caherciveen, and if he will take steps to expedite the holding of the inquiry into the matter with a view to an early decision being come to.

The present position is that the Kerry Board of Health and Public Assistance have made a compulsory acquisition order in relation to the land upon which it is proposed to erect this hospital. Objections to the order have been made to the Minister. A public inquiry will be held as early as possible. All possible steps will be taken to expedite the holding of this inquiry.
