Vol. 69 No. 12

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Unemployment Assistance Allowances.

Mr. Morrissey (for Mr. A. Byrne)

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will state when the proposals to increase unemployment assistance allowances will be submitted to the Dáil.

The preparation of amending legislation, which will include a provision for increasing the existing rates of unemployment assistance, is being pressed forward as quickly as possible, but it is not yet possible to name the date when the Bill will be introduced.
