Vol. 69 No. 15

Written Answers. - County Meath Lands.

asked the Minister for Lands if he is aware that portion of the lands on the estate of John P. Gannon, Boyerstown, Navan, County Meath (Record Order No. S.6580), which estate is being administered by Thomas Callaghan and others, was acquired by the Land Commission and allotted to Mr. Buchanan, and, if so, if he can state when payment for this portion of the estate will be made to the administrators.

This estate comprises tenanted land which became vested in the Land Commission under Section 9 of the Land Act, 1931, on the 1st May, 1931 (the Appointed Day).

Such estates are taken up in strict order of priority, to be referred to an examiner of title for investigation with a view to the allocation of the purchase money; and having regard to the large number of cases in priority, a considerable time must elapse before this case is reached. It is not possible at present to state when the Land Bonds representing the purchase price will be distributed.
