Vol. 69 No. 18

Order of Business.

It is proposed to take business as on the Order Paper, Nos. 2 to 11 inclusive, No. 2 to be taken in its appropriate place. Public business will not be interrupted at 12 o'clock to take Private Deputies' business, but three hours will be devoted to Order No. 29 when public business is completed. The Dáil will then adjourn until Wednesday, January 12th.

Has the President any idea of the business we shall have when we come back?

There will be some business on the Order Paper that will not be completed.

So I gather that there will be some urgent business of a particular type beyond what I might call ordinary business?

The Unemployment Assistance (Amendment) Bill is urgent.

Is it to complete that Bill that we are coming back, or does it mean a day per week again?

There will be enough business to keep the Dáil busy for that week at any rate.

Is that a prophecy or a statement of fact?

It is a statement of fact, having studied the Order Paper.
