Vol. 69 No. 20

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Military Service Pensions.

asked the Minister for Defence whether a claim for a pension (under the Military Service Pensions Act) was made in 1935 by Maurice O'Regan, of Keame, Glenville, Fermoy, County Cork, whether this claim has yet been considered by the referee, and when it is proposed to deal with it.

asked the Minister for Defence whether he is aware that an application for a military service pension under the Military Service Pensions Act, 1934, was lodged by Mr. Seamus McDermott, of 8 Owen Roe Terrace, Cavan, on November 15th, 1934; whether any progress has been made by the referee in arriving at a decision on this claim, and when it is intended to complete the necessary inquiries.

asked the Minister for Defence if he will state what progress has been made towards a decision in the case of Maurice Carr, c/o Joseph Carr, 7 The Mall, Cobh, County Cork, who applied for a service pension under the Military Service Pensions Act, 1934, and whose application has been under consideration since September, 1935.

The answer to questions Nos. 11, 12 and 13 is that every effort is being made to deal with all service pension applications as quickly as possible.
