Vol. 69 No. 20

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Acquisition of County Cork Estate.

asked the Minister for Lands if it is the intention of the Irish Land Commission to acquire the lands of Rostellan Castle, on the Pope-Hennessy estate, in the parish of Aghada, County Cork, for the purpose of division; and if it is intended to devote any portion of these lands for forestry purposes; and, if so, when it is the intention of the Land Commission to complete this scheme.

The Land Commission are having an inspection made of all the lands of Rostellan on the estate of the Rostellan Estates Company, Co. Cork, with a view to considering the question of their acquisition, but at the present stage of the proceedings, it is not possible to state how the lands, if acquired, will be utilised.
