asked the Minister for Defence if he will state when a decision will be conveyed to Mr. Michael Dunne, William Street, Athy, in respect of his application for a pension under the Military Service Pensions Act, 1934.

I have nothing to add to my reply to the Deputy's question of the 1st December last regarding this applicant.

As it is ten months since this man was before the board, can the Minister say what is the cause of the delay? What is the justification for delaying a decision for ten months after the man has furnished all the particulars? Surely he ought to know what the decision is one way or the other. It is particularly important to this man that he should know the decision in his case.

The referee is dong his utmost to clear them all up.

I think the Minister will agree that the referee is not suffering from excessive perspiration after having heard an application ten months ago, when there is no decision since.
