Vol. 72 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Sewerage Scheme for Stradbally (County Waterford).

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health if he is aware of the grave public inconvenience caused by the fact that no sewerage scheme has yet been carried out by the board of health in the village of Stradbally, County Waterford; and if he will state the reasons for delay in formulating a sewerage scheme for this district; and if he will make representations to the board of health to expedite the execution of this necessary work.

As regards the first part of the question, the reply is in the negative. The county medical officer of health last year considered that there were other sanitary works of greater urgency in the county health district which should be undertaken before a sewerage scheme for Stradbally. The matter is being further considered.
