Vol. 73 No. 8

Pigs and Bacon (Amendment) Bill, 1938—First Stage.

Leave granted to introduce a Bill entitled an Act to extend the term of office of the existing ordinary and substitutive members of the Bacon Marketing Board and of the existing ordinary members of the Pigs Marketing Board, and to provide for certain matters consequential on such extension. —(Minister for Agriculture.)

I would like, if there is no objection, that the Second Stage should be taken to-morrow. This is only a Bill to leave things as they are for the moment.

What did the Minister say?

The Bill will be available this evening. It is a short Bill and has to be got through rather hurriedly. I would like it to be taken to-morrow.
