The question of the erection of an aerodrome for Cork is primarily a matter for the local authorities. The authorities concerned have had discussions at various times with my Department. The question of financial assistance by the State towards the cost of the aerodrome is receiving consideration. It is hoped that, provided the necessary co-operation is forthcoming from the local authorities, an early decision will be possible as to the incidence of cost.
