asked the Minister for Education if he will state the number of primary schools in each county equipped with radio receiving sets and the number of such schools which regularly broadcast the Radio Eireann schools programme to their pupils.

There is no provision from State funds for the supply of wireless receiving sets, and I have no official information as to the number of schools equipped with sets. I understand, however, from information supplied by the broadcasting authorities that as far as they are aware the numbers of primary schools in each county equipped with sets are as follows:—
