asked the Minister for Agriculture if he can state in respect of the years 1936, 1937 and 1938 the total number of acres of potatoes certified for seed purposes, and the certified acreage of the various varieties of potatoes intended for seed; also the number of tons of certified seed dealt with by the Department for these years, and the names of varieties, and the quantity of the various seeds dealt with; also, the quantity of each variety of seed exported.

As the particulars asked for by Deputy Brodrick involve a lengthy reply, I propose to have the necessary information (so far as it is available) circulated in the Official Report. Following are the particulars:—
