Vol. 74 No. 15

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Summer Time Act.

asked the Minister for Justice if it is intended to introduce proposals for legislation for the repeal of the Summer Time Act, 1925.

The answer is in the negative.

Is the Minister aware of the serious inconvenience caused to the rural population as a result of this summer time enactment, and also of the serious hardship and injustice inflicted on children in rural areas through being compelled to attend school at such an early hour?

I am not aware of it.
