Vol. 74 No. 18

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - The Volunteer Reserve.

asked the Minister for Defence if he will state in respect of each of the years 1937 and 1938 the names of the various regiments of the Volunteer reserve and portions of the country covered by each regiment; and, if he will state in respect of each of these regiments, (1) the total number of (a) men and (b) officers in each regiment, and (2) the total number of (a) men and (b) officers who attended the annual training.

A detailed statement conveying the desired information is being prepared and will be forwarded to the Deputy in the course of a few days. I have, however, a rough draft of the information sought, which I can give the Deputy for the purpose of the debate to-day, but I should like to have it back again in order to have it checked.
