Vol. 75 No. 8

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Kenmare Turbary Trust.

asked the Minister for Lands if he is aware that a survey in respect of turbary under the Kenmare Turbary Trust has been completed, but no division has yet been made; and if, in view of the fact that normally a year or more elapses before tenants are put in possession of their plots in such cases, he will have the 1,700 tenants placed in immediate possession pending the completion of the usual formalities.

Mr. Boland

A scheme of regulations under Section 21 of the Land Act, 1903, and Section 42 of the Land Act, 1923, in respect of turbary now held under the Kenmare Turbary Trust is in course of preparation and the allottees will be put into possession of their plots as early as is consistent with the statutory requirements.
