Vol. 75 No. 8

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Veterinary Services in Cahirciveen.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will state what is the present position in regard to the provision of a veterinary surgeon for the Cahirciveen area, what are his intentions in the matter, and how soon are they likely to materialise.

The necessary steps are being taken towards the filling of the vacancy in Cahirciveen district for a veterinary surgeon employed by the local authority. The matter is now in the hands of the Local Appointments Commission.

I am not in a position to say when the vacancy will be actually filled.
