Vol. 75 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - German Questionaire.

asked the Minister for External Affairs if he will state whether he has recently received from the German Government a questionnaire upon any matters arising out of the present political situation in Europe; and, if so, if he will state the terms of such questionnaire, and whether he has replied or intends to reply thereto, and, if so, if he will state the terms of such reply.

No questionnaire has been received from the German Government.

Has the Taoiseach considered the implications of that?

No, why should he?

No, because it is not possible for anybody.

To discover any implications.

Arising out of the reply of the Minister for External Affairs, can he tell us whether he deems himself free to communicate to the House the nature of the grave events to which he made reference in his first reply, and to which he attributes his decision not to leave for the United States?

That does not arise.

I would just like to say that I do not think it would be in the public interest that I should discuss the matter now.

Very well.
