Vol. 75 No. 11

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Tipperary Lands.

asked the Minister for Lands what steps have been taken to acquire the Flaherty estate, 350 statute acres, Killusty, Fethard; whether an inspector has visited the estate, and, if not, when one is likely to, as there is a large amount of congestion in the area.

The Land Commission have decided to have an inspection made of the lands of Ballynaclere, Killusty North and Killusty South on the Flaherty estate. An inspector has not yet visited the lands, but the matter will be dealt with as soon as practicable.

asked the Minister for Lands when it is intended to take over the James Shea lands of 30 Irish acres, non-residential at Tubber, Walshbog, Fethard, County Tipperary, for division amongst the uneconomic holders and landless men of the district.

The Deputy's question appears to refer to the lands of Walshbog on the estate of James Shea. There are no proceedings before the Land Commission for the acquisition of these lands.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state what steps have been taken to acquire the J.F. Croom estate, Rathcanty, Milltown, Fethard, County Tipperary, which is 400 Irish acres, and let on the 11 months' system for a considerable number of years; and if he is aware that appeals have been made on several occasions for its acquisition.

The Deputy's question appears to refer to the lands of Rathkenty on the estate of John F. Croome and the lands of Rathkenty on the estate of Janet and Emily Croome. The Land Commission are having inquiries made regarding the suitability for their purposes of these lands.
