Vol. 76 No. 1

Written Answers. - Uneconomic Holdings in County Kildare.

asked the Minister for Lands if he is aware that in the townland of Newtown-Donore there is a number of uneconomic holders of a very industrious type, who cultivate their holdings in a husbandlike manner; and, if so, whether it is the intention of the Land Commission to acquire for allotment amongst those uneconomic holders lands in that townland and in adjoining townlands, which are not being cultivated industriously.

Mr. Boland

The Land Commission are aware of the congestion in the townland of Newtown-Donore, and they are making enquiries regarding lands in that district with a view to acquisition.
