Vol. 76 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Graiguecullen (County Carlow) National Schools.

asked the Minister for Finance if he is aware that the provision of new national schools for Graiguecullen, Carlow, has been under consideration for a considerable time and that a grant towards the cost of erection has been sanctioned by his Department; and if he will state when the Commissioners of Public Works propose to invite tenders for its erection.

Pursuant to previous communications on this matter representations to the effect stated were made in writing to the Commissioners of Public Works on April 17th, 1939, by Deputy Dr. Humphreys. The further information was then given that the preparation of plans and specifications for these comparatively large buildings were well in hand and that no avoidable delay would take place in relation to any stage of this matter; applications for tenders will issue at an early date.
