Vol. 77 No. 2

Nomination of Minister.

Tairigim:

Go gcomhaontaidh Dáil Eireann leis an Taoiseach d'ainmniú an Teachta Pádraig O Caoilte chun bheith ina chomhalta den Riaghaltas.

That the Dáil agree to the nomination of Patrick J. Little to be a member of the Government.

Would the Tánaiste interpret what is meant by the motion?

I think it is hardly necessary for the Deputy.

It is necessary in my case.

No, not possible.

Should not the Taoiseach move in that matter?

Yes, and I therefore call on the Taoiseach.

I understand that the Tánaiste has been good enough to move for me the motion : "That the Dáil agree to the nomination of an Teachta Pádraig O Caoilte as a Member of the Government." That is in accordance with the Constitution. It is proposed to allocate to Deputy Little the Department of Posts and Telegraphs.

For how long?

About 24 hours?

For the duration of the war?

Motion agreed to.
