Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Telephone Communication with Co. Cork Island.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he will state what is the position regarding the application made for telephonic communication between Dursey Island and the mainland at Garnish; if it is proposed to establish a communication, and when he expects it to be in operation.

Arrangements for the pro vision of telephonic communication with Dursey Island are in progress and it is expected that service will be in operation before the end of January next.
