Vol. 79 No. 14

Written Answer. - Ballyconnell and Ballinamore Canal.

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health if his attention has been called to the condition of the Ballyconnell and Ballinamore Canal, and if he has received a report on same; and if he will state what action he proposes to take in the matter in the interest of public health in the locality.

As regards the first part of the question, I would refer the Deputy to the reply I gave to a similar question on the 14th ultimo. As regards the second and third parts, I obtained a report from the county medical officer of health on 24th ultimo in which he stated that the sanitary conditions then prevailing along the river and canal were satisfactory.
