I move:—
That Dáil Eireann hereby approves of Control of Imports (Quota No. 13) (Amendment) Order, 1940.
The purpose of this motion is to confirm an order which was made by the Government on the 30th January, 1940, to amend the Control of Imports (Quota No. 13) Order, made in 1935, and the change effected by the order is to exempt from quota restrictions cloths up to 3/6 per square yard in value. Under the preceding order only cloths whose value did not exceed 2/- per square yard were exempted.
