Vol. 81 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Old Age Pensions.

asked the Minister for Finance whether, to meet the recommendations of many public authorities and personal requests for increases in old age pension, he will appoint a committee representing all Parties and Groups of An Dáil to investigate and report at an early date on the conditions of old age pension recipients and the value of the pension allowances compared with the purchasing power of the allowances ten years ago.

I do not propose to set up a committee of the kind suggested by the Deputy.
