Written Answers. - Acquisition of Lands.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state whether the Land Commission has initiated proceedings for the acquisition of the Corbett lands on the Aylmer estate at Ballycaghan, Kilcock, and, if so, when it is likely the lands will be acquired.

The lands in question appear to be in the townland of Ballycanon, on the estate of Helena Corbett, Record No. U.8904, County Kildare. The Land Commission have had an inspection made of these lands, but a decision has not yet been reached as to the institution of proceedings for, their acquisition.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state whether the Land Commission intend to initiate proceedings for the acquisition of the untenanted lands of Mr. J. Rochford, Branganstown, Kilcock, County Kildare, and, if so, when the lands are likely to be acquired.

The Land Commission have instituted proceedings for the acquisition of the lands of Branganstown, on the estate of John Rochfort, but as the owner's objection is still pending, it is not possible to state when the lands, if acquired, will be divided.

asked the Minister for Lands whether the Land Commission has any proceedings pending for the acquisition of the lands of Mr. E. Byrne, Upper Kishavanna, Carbury, County Kildare, and, if so, whether he will state the latest position in connection with the acquisition of the lands.

The Land Commission have no proceedings for the acquisition of the lands of Mr. E. Byrne at Kishawanny Upper, Carbury, County Kildare.
