Vol. 81 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Carlow Hospital Accommodation.

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health if he will state the present position of improved hospital accommodation in County Carlow.

I cannot at present sanction any additional works being undertaken at the expense of the Hospitals Trust Fund, in view of the commitments already made, and consequently the proposed works in County Carlow must remain in abeyance.

Could the Parliamentary Secretary say when he hopes that that position may be altered to such an extent as to permit hospitalisation schemes there to proceed?

I am afraid I cannot give any indication as to when we might be able to undertake them.
