Vol. 81 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Supply of Seeds.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will state what efforts are being made by his Department to secure our necessary requirements of root seeds, including turnip, mangel, and garden seeds, and what are the prospects of a full supply.

Everything possible is being done by the Department and also by the trade interests concerned to ensure that at least the necessary minimum requirements of root seeds, including turnip and mangel and garden seeds, will be available. It is hoped that the supplies already secured, together with further quantities which it is expected will be obtainable, will, if used with economy, suffice to meet the needs of the country in the coming season.
