Vol. 81 No. 13

Supplementary and Additional Estimates—Leave to Introduce.

I move:—

That leave be given by the Dáil to introduce the following Supplementary and Additional Estimates for the Services of the year ending on the 31st day of March, 1941, namely:

Votes Nos.:

25 (Law Charges);

33 (Gárda Síochána);

16 (Superannuation and Retired Allowances);

54 (Gaeltacht Services);

59 (Unemployment Insurance and Unemployment Assistance);

63 (Army);

72 (Repayments to the Contingency Fund).

Question put and agreed to.

It is proposed that Votes Nos. 16, 33, and 54 might be taken to-day and 25, 59, 63 and 72, perhaps, to-morrow.

I want to raise a point on this matter. Is it proposed to take the Gaeltacht Services Vote before the stock in the Depôt is known? It seems a farce doing that. It is the reverse of all commercial procedure. I would ask the Tánaiste is he going to perpetuate that?

When will the Estimates be circulated?

They are being circulated now, I understand.

Do I understand that the Minister is asking that Estimates Nos. 33, 16 and 54 be taken to-day after item No. 7 has been disposed of?

Is the Minister answering my question?
