Vol. 81 No. 13

Slievardagh Coalfield Development Bill, 1941—First Stage.

Leave granted to introduce a Bill entitled an Act to make provision for the promotion by the Minister for Industry and Commerce of a limited company for the development of the Slievardagh Coalfield and for prospecting for and developing other coalfields, and to make divers provisions in respect of such company and for matters connected therewith.— (Minister for Industry and Commerce).
Second Stage fixed provisionally for Wednesday, 26th February.

When will the Bill be circulated?

Does this Bill contemplate the development, not merely of the coalfield at Slievardagh, but of coalfields elsewhere?

I think that is clear from the Long Title, "for prospecting for and developing other coalfields."

Not merely adjoining ones?

No, not merely adjoining ones.
