Vol. 82 No. 2

Ceisteanna.—Questions. Oral Answers. - Allotments for Soldiers' Families.

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health if he is prepared to make arrangements for the granting of allotments for tillage to wives of soldiers serving in the National Army.

The wives of soldiers are eligible for allotments in urban areas under the Acquisition of Land (Allotments) Acts, 1926 and 1934, and, in rural areas, under the Labourers Acts.

I wonder if the Minister would look into the matter, as some urban areas have refused to grant these allotments. That is the reason I put down the question.

Where were they refused?
