Vol. 82 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Agricultural Advisory Committee.

asked the Minister for Agriculture how often and on what dates since October, 1940, has the Agricultural Advisory Committee been convened and on which of these dates did he discuss with the committee measures relating to agriculture taken in recent months.

One meeting of the Agricultural Production Consultative Council has been convened since October, 1940. This meeting was held on 28th November, 1940, and a full discussion took place regarding matters of current importance in relation to agriculture.

In view of the Minister's statement at the last meeting of the Dáil here that it met every two months, how does he reconcile that?

It has as a matter of fact met on an average every two months. It is meeting again in about a fortnight.

Has not the Minister stated that it has not met since November?

That is true, but on an average it meets every two months.

The Minister put his foot in it, and he knows he put his foot in it.

Deputies should not be disorderly.
