Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Military Service Pensions.

asked the Minister for Defence if he will state what the position is regarding the claim of Patrick Walsh, Aherla, County Cork, for a military service pension, and if a decision has been reached on the application.

The finding of the referee on the application under the Military Service Pensions Act, 1934, made by Patrick Walsh, Aherla, County Cork, was communicated to applicant on 9th October last.

He lodged an appeal for revision of the finding, but the referee has not yet completed consideration of the additional evidence submitted in respect of the appeal.

asked the Minister for Defence if he will state if a decision has been reached on an application for a military service pension made by E. Colbert, Ballinacurra, Midleton, County Cork (reference No. 7200), who was called for oral examination almost four years ago.

The referee has reached a decision on the application under the Military Service Pensions Act, 1934, by Mr. Edmund Colbert, Ballinacurra, Midleton, County Cork, and the finding of the referee was communicated to the applicant on the 16th instant.
